Each individual will be responsible for making their own reservations. A credit card guarantee will be required at time of reservation. Individuals may call the hotel or submit their reservation requests via mail. Individuals who make reservations outside the block or through third-party agents and e-commerce sites are subject to the terms of that booking and may not change reservations directly with the hotel.
All reservations must be made by the cut-off date (September 15, 2010) to guarantee the discounted group rate and availability of rooms. Reservations will be accepted based on Desmond’s availability after the cut-off date at the best available rate.
The Desmond Albany Hotel and Conference Center will make every effort to place your group in one area of the hotel; however we cannot guarantee this. We reserve the right to assign rooms to your guests to meet the needs of the hotel.
Every effort will be made to accommodate guest's requests for cots, cribs, adjoining rooms and other items; however, we cannot guarantee their availability.
Room Tax
The rates above do not reflect the current 13% total room tax (5% county occupancy and 8% sales tax). Taxes are subject to change without prior notice and will be levied at the appropriate rate when the group utilizes the guest rooms and are not bound by this letter of agreement to the current rate.
Tax Exemption
The Desmond honors tax exempt status for organizations paying directly for services. In order to confirm exempt status, a State of New York Tax Exempt Form must be on file at least 30 days prior to the function or use of overnight rooms. In addition, payment must be made by the exempt organization. Individuals utilizing personal credit cards, checks or cash may not be tax exempt.
